Week 4

Today was our 4th week of teaching practice and thus we entered into the second month of teaching practice that is July 2023.
On 03/07/2023  I had a class for 8th standard were I taught them about Forces. Our optional teacher came for class observation on that day. The topic that I took was about contact and non contact forces. Various activities and aids were provided during the class. The class was successful and teacher was satisfied with my class
On 04/07/2023 I had 2 periods each for class 8 and 9. The first period was for class 8 where the topic discussed was about Thickness of paper, length of curved wire etc..
The next period was for class 9 where the topic valency was taught to them. Valency and ideas to draw the electron dot structure was also taught to them.
On 05/07/2023 I had 2 periods for class 8 and 9. The first hour was for class 8 where I taught them about mass and it's units.  ICT and raole okay dramas were organised to make them understand the concept
The next hour was for class 9 where I taught them about writing chemical formulae. The lesson plan and learning aids were already prepared. I also made them do chemical formulae individually on the black boards.
On 06/07/2023 I had a period for class 8. The topic that I taught was about Fundamental and Derived Units. Various examples of  the topic was discussed.
On 07/07/2023 we had a period for class 8 during the second hour. Topic that I took for them was about time. An innovative lesson plan was prepared using story cards. Pupip paid complete attention to the class since innovative cards activities and displays were given.

 This was our final week of Teaching practice Phase 2 Since the lesson plans were almost completed we got plenty of free hours to interact with teachers and students of the school. I carried out interviews for my Project work on these days. On 2/08/2023 I took Remedial classes for students of Class VIII on the topic acceleration, since after conducting the tests, those areas were found out to be difficult for the students. 3/08/2023 was the second last day for our teaching practice. We spend time with students of pre primary section.   4/08/2023 This was the last day of our teaching practice. Government High School Mannanthala will be always cherished in our minds. The students, teachers, and the school atmosphere will always be in our hearts. It was very difficult for us to leave the school, but we look forward for our bright future and thank each and evry individual who supported, guided and stood by us in this amazing journey

  DAY 3: SESSION 1 Guidance and Counseling-By  Smt. Umadevi G. (Freelance counselor, Ezhukone, Kollam) In this session Smt umadevi G has given us a smart guidance through explaining various problems(mentally)  of students. here she uses story telling method . overall the whole session was effective . By 12.30 session was concluded . SESSION 2: COMMUNITY PRODUCTIVE WORK By Sri. Shiyas Khan(Asst. Professor, in Visual Art, Kaviyattu College of Education) This session was very fun. we did a clay modelling still, a variety of clay modelling were done by whole class.
